The Insignia 65" QF Series is the step up from the F50 range, and the reason is the panel: this model uses QLED quantum-dot technology rather than a standard LED panel. In practice that means richer colour, higher brightness and better contrast, which is most obvious on HDR content.
Unlike the standard F50 sets, the QF Series adds Dolby Vision support, tone-mapping each scene for stronger contrast and more accurate colour. Dolby Atmos handles the audio through a 20W speaker system, giving sound a sense of height and space.
A slim, bezel-less metal frame keeps attention on the picture and blends into most rooms. At roughly 27.6 lb without the stand it is light for a 65-inch set, and the base stand footprint is compact enough for many media units and mantles.
Streaming apps, live over-the-air channels and connected devices sit together on one Fire TV home screen. The Alexa Voice Remote handles search, app launching, input switching and smart-home control by voice.
